Queen's Park Football Club 1st Team Squad 2007/2008
Goalkeepers
Mark Cairns
Mark Cairns
A vastly experienced ‘keeper who joined Queen’s for a second spell in January 2006.  Mark has been around the grounds in Scotland, and as well as being a fine shot-stopper, his experience has proven invaluable in guiding the younger QP keepers.
Alex Cowie
Alex Cowie
Another product of the QP youth talent conveyor belt. Zander was an Under-19 league cup winner with Queen's. He will provide some very strong back-up for the upcoming season and will look to challenge for the No.1 jersey. Has yet to play a first team game.
Scott Murray
Billy Stark signed the 19-year-old from Dundee just before the closure of the August transfer window. The youngster played several games for the Dens Park side and looked to have a bright future with the club. Things didn't work out, however, and he'll be desperate to claim the No1 jersey at Hampden.
Defenders
Damiano Agostini
Damiano Agostini
Another Hampden favourite, "Big D" has overcome a string of injuries to earn his spot in the defence. Strong and hard-working, Damiano won the QPSA travel club player of the year award last season.
Shaun Molloy
Shaun Molloy
After signing from Dundee United in 2004, Shaun made himself a key part of the QP team, with his attacking abilities on the left-side of defence. A bad run of injuries, and the impressive form of Mick Dunlop have restricted his recent opportunities.
Richard Sinclair
Richard Sinclair
Club Captain, and a veteran of our last Division 2 campaign in 2000-01. An integral part of the Spiders' defence, despite an unhappy knack of picking up painful injuries. Yet another example of the club's successful youth policy, having come through the Hampden ranks, picking up international honours at schoolboy level.
Steve Reilly
Steve Reilly
An instant hit on arrival at Hampden in 2003 because of his tough tackling and ability from the penalty spot. Steve has featured in a number of central defensive partnerships, and is a previous winner of the club and supporters’ Player of the Year Awards.
Michael Dunlop
Michael Dunlop
Signed from Ayr United in August 2005, left-sided defender Mick quickly established himself as a cult hero with the QP faithful.  A totally committed tackler, Mick has stood out in a very impressive Spiders' defence wherever he has been asked to play
Michael Dunlop
Jamie Brough
Promoted from the under 19s for the new campaign, Jamie will provide good competition for the centre-back positions. One to look out for in the future.
Midfielders
Steven Canning
Steve Canning
Yet another player to have made the step up from the youth policy, Steve managed the Tony Quinn feat of battling back from two broken legs. Competent in virtually any position (apart from goalkeeper!) Steve managed to find the net eight times last season.
Alan Trouten
Alan Trouten

A former QP youth player, Alan has become an integral part of the team in the last few seasons.  Blessed with the ability to take on defenders with ease, Alan is more than comfortable playing at wing back or in midfield. Managed to score some very important goals, including the final penalty in THAT shoot-out with Aberdeen.

Mark Ferry
Mark Ferry
Signed from St Johnstone in 2004, Mark has become almost a fixture in the side. Has the ability to find the net with both feet, and has scored some memorable long-distance efforts. Despite still being a relative youngster, his experience has helped some of the new recruits bed into the squad.
Anthony Quinn
Tony Quinn
Brought in by John McCormack in 2001, Tony played both in defence and midfield. His bravery saw him overcome two leg breaks to force his way into Billy Stark's team. Physical presence adds some much-needed steel into the middle of the park, although the arrival of young Paul Cairney on the scene has seen Tony battling again for a regular starting spot.
Paul Paton
Paul Paton

Yet another player to have come through the QP youth system, Paul quickly established himself as a regular after making his debut against Elgin in November ’05. Winner of the QPFC Young Player of the Year Award in his first season, Paul has become a key player, scoring some wonderful goals along the way.

Stuart Kettlewell
Stuart Kettlewell
Brought into the team by Kenny Brannigan, Stuart has become an almost ever-present since. Strong, 110% committed and seemingly able to run all day, Stuart rarely puts in a poor performance. He's now made more than 100 starts and more than earned the right to captain the team towards the end of last season.
PaulCairney
Paul Cairney
Paul established himself as a regular during the latter half of the 06/07 season with some very impressive performances in the midfield. His displays have belied his youth and his drive and perpetual motion have earned him a host of admirers, both at Hampden and other clubs.
PaulCairney
Alan Harty
Alan was brought into the first team squad towards the end of last season after showing lots of promise in Under 19s and Strollers matches. Expect him to feature more in the upcoming campaign.
Martin Ure
Nineteen-year-old signed from Cumnock Juniors in last week of pre-season. Once on the books at Rangers, and one to watch.
PaulCairney
John Neill
Gardner Speirs' first signing, the ex-Hearts youngster will add more bite to the Queen's midfield. Only 20, he's known to the boss from days with the Scotland youth set-up. Signed for Queen's after loan spells at Hamilton and Raith Rovers.
PaulCairney
David Waters
Made several appearances on the bench last season and is widely expected to feature more in the campaign ahead. Fast, skillful and a handful for defenders.
Forwards
Richard Bowers
Richard Bowers
Made an almost instant impact after joining the club in the 04/05 season from St Johnstone, scoring twice in his first few appearances. Struggled to hold down a regular place in the squad since then due to injuries - and the exceptional form of David Weatherston. Will be looking to stake a claim for a more regular starting spot this season.
Paul McLory
Paul McLory
Young frontman plays out wide. Still to make impact at first-team level having worked his way through the youth ranks.
Robert Dunn
Robert Dunn
Signed from Stirling Albion in August 2006, Robert had to struggle to establish himself as a regular in the first team. Found the net three times at the tail end of the season.  Robert has played for six senior clubs, despite being just 28, hoever, his experience in the 2nd division should prove a big asset to Queen's this term.
Paul Ronald
Paul Ronald
A man of many clubs, Paul’s experience has proven an invaluable asset to the Spiders. Although 36, he has been a regular starter, adding a physical presence to the number of roles he has been asked to play. His versatility and "old head" could be vital for the upcoming campaign in the second division.
Stuart McGrady
Another last-minute signing, arrived with Martin Ure from Cumnock. Pacy frontman, Stuart was a standout in the juniors, and also impressed during a spell at Ayr United. Still only 22, but a real prospect.
Paul Ronald
Chris Colquhoun
Another graduate from the QP youth ranks who has made a couple of first team appearances from the bench, and will add to the competition for places up front.
