Queen's have signed former St Mirren defender and more recently Hamilton coach, Andy Millen. The move follows the news that Jamie Brough has broken a bone in his leg and will be out of action for some weeks. He became the latest in our growing list of players missing either through injury, or family or business commitments. Gardner Speirs said: "We have a number of injuries at the club just now - both short and long term. We've been looking to add to the squad, and have been unsuccessful on a number of occasions. I'm delighted that we have been able to bring in somebody of Andy's pedigree and experience. I'm sure he'll be a tremendous addition, and will be a great help in bringing on the young defenders we have at the club.Take a walk down memory lane

Queen's have notched up a major off-field success as for the second year in succession, we have secured funding under the Da Vinci Initiative to take a party of our youth players and coaching staff to a winter training camp. In January it was the Algarve, next January it will be Turkey, and the Adora resort camp at Antalya. It's a big feather in the club's cap, and another big boost for our youth development system. Last season, a number of the 17s returned from the Algarve and played a major part in that squad securing a league and cup double, while Paul Gallacher returned to claim a starting spot in the first team as it began its run to the play-offs. Another five of the youngsters who were on the trip have now been given first team contracts at Queen's Park. More details of the camp and the players heading off on the trip will follow.Easy, Peasy for Queen's
Queen's continued their preparations for the upcoming league campaign with a Monday evening friendly against Petershill at Lesser Hampden. Queen's opened the scoring early on through Nadeem. A long diagonal ball over the Peasy defence set him free on goal, after having his first effort parried by the 'keeper he calmly wrong footed the covering defender and the ball trickled over the line.In a dominant opening to the game Murray and Nadeem spurned further chances before Longworth flicked a header into the top corner from a whipped Baillie cross to put Queen's two up.
Petershill started to make an impression on the game, McLaughlin headed just over and a Dickson drive was blocked for a corner before half-time.
Murray was replaced by Smith at the interval and it was Smith who got Queen's third goal. Baillie cut inside from full-back and drilled a shot with his left foot. McNeil in the Peasy goal could only parry and Smith followed up and smartly dinked the ball over the advancing 'keeper.
Meggatt then hit a bullet free-kick which was tipped over before Petershill replied with a late consolation goal by McGladrigan who neatly lobbed the ball over the trialist goalkeeper.
QP: Trialist, Baillie, Trialist, Sinclair, Meggatt, Lachlan, Nadeem, Harkins, Longworth, Quinn, Murray (Smith).
