Big day for Dougie

OUR Hallowe'en game against Elgin City provided the opportunity to give Queensparkers a real treat.
As with all events for this group, the aim was to encourage Queensparkers and their guests to catch up with friends old and new.
In addition to the social side, the latest gathering also includes a brief demonstration of the potential in our soon-to-be-launched Queensparkers' blog as a means of communication among former players at home and abroad.
To check out the new blog, follow this LINK or the one at the foot of the page.
Among those who joined the gathering were Douglas Grant, a robust wing-half who excelled with both Queen's and Elgin in the 1950s and 60s.
Throughout 2009/10, the Queensparkers will continue to promote specific events so that former players can renew old friendships.
Members of the group will be welcome to attend any Queen's Park matches, and should take note of these key dates for their diaries:
Friday 20th November: The Queen's Park Football Club annual dinner. Speakers for this event will include Richard McBrearty from the Scottish Football Museum; and Scottish Football Association Chief Executive, Gordon Smith. Tickets are available from the Queen's Park office.
Saturday 21st November: SFL Division 3 - Queen's Park v Livingston.

Please help us to make each Queensparkers event a success by confirming your attendance in advance to 0141 632 1275.
