We are heading towards our 150th Birthday next July and as part of our sesquicentennial celebrations we are bringing back one of the most famous strips in world football.

We have worn black and white hooped shirts since 1873 however for the next two seasons we will be wearing dark blue jerseys that match the kit Scotland wore in the world’s first ever international football match.

When England visited Glasgow in November 1872 to play Scotland not only did Queen’s Park supply all the home nation’s players we also supplied the strips, which consisted of blue jerseys with a sliver of white ribbon that required to be tied over the right arm of a player, grey leggings and blue and white hooped socks.

The new version of the old strip will be seen at the National Stadium on Saturday for the first time when Livingston meet us in a League 1 match.
