Barnardo’s our partner charity for the season

Queen’s Park’s most famous son, Sir Alex Ferguson, has backed a tie-up between the Spiders and Children’s Charity Barnardo’s to mark the Hampden club’s 150th Birthday.

Sir Alex, who gave a toast to the club during Friday’s Civic Reception at Glasgow City Chambers to celebrate their landmark, said: “I am delighted that my first club are getting together with a charity that was formed just a few months before they were.”

The partnership that will last throughout next season will kick-off in Saturday’s home game against Motherwell in the Betfred Cup that is live on BT Sport.

The Queen’s Park players will take to the field wearing Barnardo’s t-shirts with a bucket collection taking place before kick-off.
